The details of the recent meeting between the Sunni Ittehad Council and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) have emerged, highlighting key discussions and decisions.
The meeting was led by Malik Ahmed Khan Bachhar and Barrister Gohar, with participation from members of the Punjab Assembly, PTI leaders, and ticket holders.
Sources report that Assembly members greeted the PTI Chairman warmly, with many hugging him. However, discontent was voiced by MPs who pointed out that only Members of the National Assembly (MNEs) are included in all PTI committees, leaving MPs out.
Barrister Gohar assured the Punjab Assembly members that future committees would include MPs and that they would be consulted in all forthcoming decisions. The PTI Chairman expressed his displeasure with Assembly members and ticket holders who had not actively participated in protests.
Barrister Gohar emphasized that all ticket holders and MPs should organize regular protest rallies, with weekly demonstrations planned across the province to register their dissent effectively.
This meeting marks a significant effort to unify the party's efforts and ensure broader participation in decision-making processes.
