The UAE Fatwa Council has urged Muslims across the country to observe the Shawwal crescent moon on the evening of Saturday, March 29, 2025 (Ramadan 29, 1446 AH) to determine the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eidul Fitr.

In an official statement, the council encouraged citizens to report any moon sightings—whether by the naked eye or using binoculars— to the UAE Moon-Sighting Committee. This sighting is a crucial step in confirming the conclusion of the holy month and the commencement of Eid celebrations.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Supreme Court has also called on Muslims to observe the crescent on the same evening and report their findings to the relevant authorities, following traditional procedures.

The Moon-Sighting Committee will convene after Maghrib (sunset) prayers on Saturday to assess the reports and make an official announcement regarding the start of Eidul Fitr.
