The Supreme Court Thursday gave permission to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to build a children hospital and university in Swat on the land currently in use of Gold Club, reported 24News HD TV channel.
As per details, the apex court also allowed the provincial government to build a Rescue 1122 Centre in the city.
The court set aside the previous verdict of Peshwar High Court which barred the provincial government to build the projects at the Golf Club. Peshwar High Court had ordered to build the projects at some other place.
Advocate General Shumail Butt told the court that a 960-Kanal piece of land belonged to the KPK government.
He said after constructing the project, the Staff Gold Club would still have 500-Kanal land at their disposal.
He said finding the paved piece of land was an issue in Swat and the provincial government could not be barred to build public projects on its own land.
The three-member bench headed by Justice Mushir Alam issued a short order by setting aside the previous decision of the Peshawar High Court.
The golf club players had moved to the court against the construction of the projects.
