Actress Meera Jee, the Lollywood diva, never disappoints her fans whenever they want to wear a smile on their faces.
This time Meera Jee recited a part of Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s famous poem “Hum Dekhen Gey”.
Her English pronunciation is always a source of amusement for the general public, which lands her as the butt of jokes within the meme community.
But this time Urdu pronunciation is her victim.
A video of Meera Jee went viral in which she is reciting Faiz’s poem while sitting in a moving car. She changed “Mehkoomon” (oppressed) with Mehakmon (Institutions). But it was a beautiful change as the netizens sarcastically praised her wits saying Mehkamo (Institutions) is a more fit for this poem.
Meera has done it all - from rumours of a secret marriage to risqué films. Her alluring persona and versatility have earned her the spot of a timeless diva.
A video of Meera Jee went viral earlier this year in which she can be seen cooking. In the video, she says “I love cooking. I dance and enjoy while cooking.”
After introducing her cousin Babar Naqvi. Meera introduced the names of her uncle as General Naqli instead of General Naqvi, which she later corrected and also admitted the slip of the tongue which happens while conversing in English.
