Today is the last day of electioneering as the local bodies’ (LB) polls in 32 districts of Balochistan will be held day after tomorrow (Sunday, May 29), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Polling material will be transported to all polling stations in these districts by tomorrow while strict security arrangements have been put in place.
As many as 5,236 polling stations have been set up in the province for the purpose while 17,774 candidates are running for different seats.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared close to 2, 000 polling stations ‘sensitive’.
As many as 132 women are contesting on general seats.
However, there will be no polling in 102 wards of districts Musa Khel, Zhob, Pishin and some other districts.
The ECP says there are 2043828 registered male voters in the province while the number of female voters stands at 1570896.
