Police have placed barriers on both sides of Zahoor Elahi Road in Lahore, but they are yet to arrest former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
People living on Zahoor Elahi Road have been faced with difficulties in movement due to the barriers.
It is to be noted here that Pervaiz Elahi is wanted by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) after the dismissal of his bail.
An ACE team along with the police had raided the house of Pervaiz Elahi on Zahoor Elahi Road, but he evaded the arrest.
Upon his non-arrest, the police erected barriers on both sides of Zahoor Elahi Road and blocked the road for general traffic.
The internet service has also been suspended around the house of Pervaiz Elahi.
It also merits a mention here that non-bailable arrest warrants have been issued for Pervaiz Elahi, and orders to produce Pervaiz Elahi by June 2 have also been issued.
