Two citizens were martyred and ten others including three Army soldiers were injured in a suicide attack on a convoy of security forces in Bannu district, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing ISPR on Monday, the motorcycle-borne suicide bomber, an Afghan national, targeted the convoy in general area of Bakkakhel in Bannu District on Sunday (November 26).
The bomber was affiliated with Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group and exploded himself near the security forces’ convoy. Resultantly, two innocent civilians embraced Shahadat, while seven other civilians and three soldiers got injured.
The security forces later launched a sanitization operation to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
According to ISPR statement, the security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave civilians and soldiers further strength our resolve.
