Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has said that law and order was key challenge in the province especially in Kurram district but KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has not even bothered to visit the area to bring situation to the normalcy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, Governor Kundi advised CM Gandapur to visit Kurram instead of creating law and order in Islamabad. He lamented that KP Chief Minister has no time to visit the district.
KP Governor also questioned the performance of federal government that how Ali Amin managed to escape again through the same route?
“People ask if it was incompetence of Islamabad police or a fixed match”, said Faisal Karim Kundi.
He urged the federal government to take effective measures in this regard. Kundi said police and rangers were being martyred, how long will they continue to give martyrdom.”
He said rather than celebrating, the federal government should take practical steps. He said, “whenever PTI wants to hold a rally, it should be allowed to hold a rally. But the release of PTI founder will not happen in this way. Kundi advised PTI to go to the courts for Imran Khan’s release as protests will not help PTI founder’s release.
KP Governor also invited Gandapur to visit Kurram along with other political parties and look into the affairs and resolve them amicably. He said during December, Governor House was going to arrange a meeting on law and order in the province.
Governor KP said Red Crescent had contacted with PDMA for provision of aid in Kurram, but according to PDMA they have nothing to distribute.
Kundi said right now KP province is burning with terrorism and sectarian violence but PTI people are burning Islamabad. He said during APC, we will put the problems of our province in front of the federation in the all-party conference.
