The Population Department has submitted a written reply to the Constitutional Bench of the Sindh High Court in the contempt case of not making 880 employees permanent in the department, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The Population Department submitted in its written response that the order of the Sindh High Court has been implemented and the employees have been made permanent on the order of the court.
On the other hand, the petitioner’s lawyer told the court that the court orders have not been fully implemented.
The court had ordered to make the employees permanent with all the benefits, while the employees have been made permanent without the service structure and other benefits; the petitioner's lawyer took a plea.
The head of the Constitutional Bench, Justice KK Agha, remarked that in the first instance, the court order has been implemented.
Justice KK Agha further ordered that the written response should be reviewed and objections should be submitted.
If the court is not satisfied with the objections, the court will reject the contempt of court petition by imposing a fine for wasting the time of the court, Justice KK Agha remarked.
However, the court seeks objections from the petitioner's lawyer on December 11.
