Elon Musk paid a visit to Twitter's San Francisco headquarters as his deadline to finalize a $44 billion takeover of the company approaches. With the caption "let that sink in," Musk tweeted a video of himself bringing a bathroom sink into the Twitter headquarter.

The billionaire Tesla chief, who seemed to have altered his Twitter profile bio to "Chief Twit", has until Friday to finalize the acquisition deal or face legal action from Twitter.

If the deal is concluded this week, it will put an end to a tech industry-enthralling, on-again, off-again drama. But it would probably only be the beginning of a time of profound transformation within Twitter, which might have significant global effects.

He made an aggressive approach to acquire Twitter, reached an agreement in April, and then tried to back out of the deal. Twitter launched a lawsuit against the world’s richest man to make him stick to this deal.

Musk capitulated as trial loomed and revived his acquisition deal on the condition that legal actions be suspended. Since a court stopped the litigation on October 6, Musk, has apparently been lining up funding.

In July, Musk announced the cancellation of the agreement, claiming that Twitter had deceived him about the amount of fake "bot" accounts. Twitter has denied the claims.
