American Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome Thursday called on Federal Health Minister Nadeem Jan in Lahore, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
The Health Minister said that Pakistan-US dialogues have been held and further promotion of bilateral cooperation was agreed.
Health coverage, maternal and child health, nutrition, polio, and prevention of multiple diseases were among the topics of discussion.
Dr Nadeem Jan said that universal health coverage is his top agenda. He said the health agenda should always be apolitical and this very narrative brought in the support of all stakeholders.
He said that health is the bridge between the state and the public and better facilities provided by the government strengthen its relation with the people.
US Ambassador Donald Blome commended the cooperation between Pakistan and America in the field of health.
