Cylinder blast claims two lives in Karachi

Two persons were burnt alive during a cylinder blast that occurred in a liquid petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder shop located in Sagheer Centre Federal B Area, Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.


Police sources said that the blast occurred due to leakage of gas from a cylinder. Eyewitnesses said that the shop was established six months ago.


Residents of the area filed many petitions against the owners of this cylinder shop. They further said that they were aware that the owner of this shop established this shop without any attested documents.


They revealed that after a low noise, a fire spread in the area. Rescue teams brought the fire under control after three hours of cooling operations. Four Fire Brigade vehicles were used in this operation.


Citizens who were living in two flats located in Sagheer Centre were injured.


Rescue teams said that all the victims were shifted to a local hospital.
