JUI Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has said that he welcomes incoming Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi and prayed that he (CJP) will run the judicial systems of the country as per law, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media in Sargodha, Maulana Fazl invited former Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa to become part of JUI. He also invited entire nation to become part of JUI.
Talking about the sections of the 26th constitutional amendment, Fazl said the government had presented 56 points while 5 points were added by JUI into it later.
Fazl said that everyone knows that country was facing economic disaster after 2018, adding that all stakeholders were trying to fix crisis and trying it will take time to fix all things in right directions. JUI chief rejected the rumors that government was planning to bring more legislations.
To a question about the future of PTI, Maulana Fazl said, “I do not know about JUI future, how can I predict about PTI?”. To another question regarding his likely meeting with Imran Khan, Fazl said it was too early to say something about it.
JUI chief said that the decision of the Shariat Court will be final in the matter of illegal interest system, which will be effective from 2028 as government has made legislation for complete ban on interest system in the country.
