The nationwide anti-polio campaign will commence across Pakistan on October 28 to immunise over 45 million children under the age of five, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to the channel report, the campaign, organised by the Health Department, will run for seven days, concluding on November 3.
The campaign will be carried out in various districts of Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad.
The health authorities have set a target to administer polio drops to children across the country to combat the rapidly rising cases of polio.
The Health Department has completed all necessary preparations for this extensive drive, aiming to protect the younger generation from the debilitating disease.
The slogan of this year’s campaign is, “Decide Today if You Want Your Child to Walk Tomorrow.”
