The US dollar increased by 37 paisas and reached Rs 169.45 from Rs 169.08 in the inter-bank trading, reported 24NewHD TV channel.
Economists said that over $6 billion imports were recorded in the month of August that increased the trade deficit.
The dollar has increased by Rs17.17 in the last four months. The US dollar was at Rs152.28 against the Pakistani rupee in May 7, 2021 and now it reached Rs169.45.
