Arifwala police Tuesday busted a gang allegedly involved in sexually assaulting children at gunpoint and filming their objectionable videos that were later used to extort money from their parents, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The police booked nine members of the gang and arrested three of them. They also recovered cell phones and over 100 objectionable videos of the children from the accused.
While being interrogated, the accused confessed to blackmailing parents of the children into paying them money, under the threat of making the videos of their children viral.
In two of such incidents, the accused confessed to extorting Rs335,000 from parents under the threat of making their kids’ videos viral.
It was also revealed during the investigation that the accused befriended young boys and then invited them to their homes where they subjected them to sexual abuse and filmed their videos that were later used to extort money from their families.
Further investigations from the arrested members of the gang were underway. Raids were also being conducted for the arrest of those still at large.
