Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has said the caretaker government will ensure transparent elections, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
“I am completely neutral,” he said while addressing the students in London. A good number of Pakistani students were present.
PM Kakar’s address lasted for an hour. He answered the questions of the students and shed light on the current situation in Pakistan and the upcoming election.
“We will try to ensure that all parties get a chance to participate in the elections in a fair manner,” he said.
The prime minister said the elements involved in the May 9 riots will face the music.
PTI members took to the streets to vent their spleen against the arrest of Imran Khan in a corruption case. They damaged property, state assets and sensitive installations a few months ago.
The angry protesters stormed the GHQ in Rawalpindi, Jinnah House in Lahore and Radio Pakistan in Peshawar. Innocent people lost their lives and the riots left a trail of destruction.
The PM said the law will take its course. He said the PTI is not doing parliamentary politics.
Had the party been doing parliamentary politics, Imran Khan would have been the leader of the opposition.
