Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has affirmed that participating or not participating in elections is a legal matter, not a matter of vengeance or politics, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking to the media in London on Tuesday, Kakar commented on the situation in Balochistan, pointing out the involvement of Indian elements in terrorist activities within the province. He underscored that Pakistan had borne the brunt of India's state-sponsored terrorism.
Commenting on the upcoming elections, Kakar maintained that the focus should be on conducting transparent and fair elections, with international observers present to ensure the process's integrity.
Discussing Nawaz Sharif's return, Kakar emphasized that it would be executed in accordance with the country's laws. He firmly stated that their actions would align with Pakistan's legal framework, and they had no intention to oppose any political group.
Regarding Nawaz Sharif's legal privileges, he mentioned that a thorough assessment of his legal rights would be conducted., reiterating the government's commitment to impartiality and justice.
When questioned about the government's affiliations, Kakar asserted that they had no allegiance to any specific group or party. He emphasized that every decision and action taken by the government would adhere strictly to Pakistan's legal framework.
In response to inquiries about his meetings with political leaders, Kakar clarified that he had not engaged in any negotiations with political parties or leaders. He reiterated his commitment to remain apolitical.
Regarding the injection scandal, Kakar revealed that the federal and Punjab governments were collaborating to bring all culprits involved in the scandal to justice.
When asked about the eligibility of PTI Chairman Imran Khan for elections, Kakar stated that the law would be followed, and the Election Commission would fulfill its constitutional responsibilities impartially.
