When will the Shawal moon be sighted? Will this time we are going to have 30 fasts or 29. Well, the meteorological department has forecast that there are no chances of Shawal moon sighting on May 12 or 29th of the holy month of Ramazan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to the Met Office, the sky in most parts of the country on May 12 would be clear; barring few places where the weather would be partly cloudy.

The moon would be 19 hours and 27 minutes old on the 29th of Ramazan.
