KP police recover vehicle of abducted session judge

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police succeeded in recovering the vehicle of the kidnapped session judge from Tank, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
Yesterday, a sessions court judge Shakir Ullah Marwat was kidnapped from the district Tank by unknown assailants while he was going to Dera Ismail Khan.
According to the channel, the First Information Report (FIR) of the judge's abduction was registered by the Counter-Terrorism Department.
As per the channel report, a special committee was also formed regarding the session judge abduction case in Tank in which officials from CTD, police and other law enforcement agencies are included
The channel reported that a separate team of the CTD had also been made operational in the Tank area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to recover the abducted judge as soon as possible.
The law enforcement agencies have obtained the CCTV footage of the route of the incident and started search operations in different areas of Dera Ismail Khan while the investigation of several suspects is also ongoing.
As per yesterday's report, the judge was going to DI Khan after performing his duties in South Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The abductors shifted the judge to an unknown location while leaving his vehicle and driver on the main Tank-DI Khan road near Hathala stop in Tank district.
Meanwhile, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur took notice of the incident and sought a report from the KP Inspector General of Police. The CM directed the police to take all measures for the safe recovery of the sessions judge.
Moreover, on the notice of Registrar Peshawar High Court, Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice SM Attique Shah summoned IG Police Akhtar Hayat and Additional Chief Secretary Home Abid Majid and sought a report from them.
On the occasion, Chief Justice PHC told the concerned officers that the recovery of the judge should be ensured at all costs. The PHC judges further said that the provision of security to the judges was the prime duty of the provincial government and a lethargic attitude in this respect will not be tolerated.
