A female Member of the National Assembly (MNA) of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) from Hafizabad, Saira Afzal Tarar's father passed away on Sunday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Saira Afzal Tarar's father Mian Afzal Hussain Tarar was a former federal parliamentary secretary.
Mian Afzal Hussain Tarar was the cousin of former President of Pakistan Rafiq Tarar and had served the nation as the MNA two times in the past.
As per the channel report, the funeral prayer of the deceased will be offered in the native village of Kolo Tarar.
PM Shehbaz Sharif expresses condolence
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences to Saira Afzal Tarar and family on the death of senior party leader and former MNA Afzal Hussain Tarar.
He said in his condolence message to MNA Saira Afzal Tarar that Afzal Tarar's death is a great loss for the party, he was a very seasoned politician, always giving wise advice to him like a loyal brother.
The PM also prayed for the elevation of the deceased and patience for the family.
