DSP found running 'police drug cartel'

A drug cartel in Lahore police has been unearthed, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday 

Reportedly, DSP Mazhar Iqbal is the ringleader while sub-inspector Mehmood, ASI Kashif and head constable Shakeel are among the gang members.

According to police officials, the gang members have been arrested while the ringleader escaped the raid.

The officials said, the detainees are being grilled and a case will be registered soon.

DSP Mazhar and his team are accused of dealing in drugs worth Rs80 million, they said, adding that the hunt for DSP is on.
