PM Kakar holds talks with COAS ahead of SIFC apex committee huddle

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar held one-on-one talks with Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir ahead of an important meeting of the apex committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) at PM House in Islamabad on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The SIFC meeting is being held at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad with Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar in the chair.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, chief ministers, federal ministers and other senior officers are participating in the meeting.

The participants are being briefed about the progress and initiatives of SIFC in the meeting.

They are also being briefed about investments from friendly countries and One Window operation as important decisions are likely to be made in the meeting.

Earlier, Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq welcomed COAS General Asim Munir at the Prime Minister’s House.

A one-on-one meeting was also held between the prime minister and the army chief during which discussion on the internal situation of the country and border security issues came under discussion.

The prime minister paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army, and he expressed confidence in the operational preparations of the armed forces.
