National Electricity Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has decided to re-hear 20 electricity price decisions on the order of the Appellate Tribunal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

NEPRA will conduct a new hearing on 20 decisions issued regarding electricity prices on September 3.

There will be a new hearing on the decisions made under monthly and quarterly adjustments.

NEPRA will hold a fresh hearing on the decisions made during 2021, 2022 and 2023.

NEPRA will review decisions on 15 monthly and 5 quarterly adjustments.

The Appellate Tribunal issued a verdict on the appeal of the Pakistan Ex-Patriates Cooperative Housing Society.

Meanwhile, in a statement, Federal Minister for Energy Awais Leghari said NEPRA used to fix electricity prices after every three months.

After yesterday's hearing, there was a decrease of Rs2.37 per unit, Awais Leghari said.

The reduction in electricity price was due to fuel price adjustment, he said.
