Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil who suffered a heart attack a day earlier in Canada is recovering and will be discharged from the hospital soon, reported 24NewsHD channel.
Taking to Twitter, he penned down that by the grace of Allah and the prayers of friends, his health is comparatively better now. “After staying under observation for three more days in the hospital, he will be discharged. More prayers are requested.”
On Tuesday, his son, Yousaf Jamil confirmed the development, saying that his father had suffered a heart attack in Toronto. Maulana also passed through an angioplasty on Tuesday, he added.
"He is feeling better now, Alhamdulillah!" Yousaf said, asking the followers to pray for his father's health. "May Allah grant my father complete health."
Maulana Tariq Jameel was in Canada to attend an event organised by Islamic Relief Canada which is an international charity.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Jordan-based Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre has named Maulana Tariq Jameel among the 2023 World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims.
