I suffer from unstable anxiety: Arjumand Rahim

During an episode of ‘Momina’s Mixed Plate’, veteran Pakistani star Arjumand Rahim chose to shed light on her anxiety issues and how the population fail to understand that people suffering from mental issues still need to be acknowledged.

While in conversation with the host, Arjumand revealed that she has unstable anxiety which could give rise to panic attacks. Arjumand also stated that she can feel panic attacks making an appearance at sets however the fact that people fail to understand the depth of mental disorders and would consider people with anxiety ‘pagal’ (mental) has always been the source of discomfort for the Pakistani star.
While the very understanding host and Arjumand conversed about the topic at hand, the ladies chose to talk about how everyone needs to be a little more open and understanding regarding mental disorders.
Furthermore, Arjumand thinks that an actor with mental illness needs even more validation. The host completely agreed to Arjumand’s stance stating that an actor is always in the public eye, always being judged therefore acknowledgement becomes crucial.
Arjumand then stated that there is nothing wrong with opting for therapy especially when someone needs it and the host in an attempt to show that she completely agrees declared that she has been in therapy for three years, also that she can’t survive without it now.
