Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar has appointed Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman to the Board of Governors of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Mr. Zaman, a BPS-21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), has been chosen for this prestigious position.
The PCB, previously under the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination, has now been placed under the cabinet division following cabinet approval.
Amendments to the PCB Constitution allow the prime minister to appoint three members instead of two to the PCB Board of Governors.
Mr. Zaman's appointment is a significant development for cricket governance in Pakistan.
His extensive experience in administration and public service positions him well for this role.
