The Sugar Mills Association has failed to complete the installation of video recording system at all sugar mills of the country so far.
The Sugar Mills Association was recently directed to have video recording systems installed at all sugar mills, but it failed to do so.
According to sources, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had recently decided to have video recording systems installed at all sugar mills to collect their production data. Seven companies have qualified to install video recording systems at the sugar mills.
Earlier this month, the FBR told sugar mills to have video cameras installed by January 15 to ensure real-time monitoring of sugar production.
As the sugar mills failed to comply with the order due to technical issues right in the middle of the crushing season, the FBR summoned a session of sugar mills and vendors to explain the failure.
