The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has withdrawn all-rounder Aamer Jamal from his ongoing commitment to the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The board has already called back national players Usman Khan and Khushdil Shah to Pakistan. Jamal is expected to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow.
According to sources, all three players are being considered for inclusion in the probable squad for the upcoming ODI tri-series and ICC Champions Trophy.
PCB had initially issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Aamir Jamal, allowing him to participate in the BPL until February 7. Meanwhile, Khushdil Shah and Usman Khan were granted NOCs only until January 25.
In addition to the recall, sources revealed that Usman Khan had been summoned to Lahore by former cricketer and coach Abdul Razzaq. He is set to join the strike force training camp starting tomorrow to prepare for potential inclusion in the Champions Trophy squad.
Khushdil Shah, known for his explosive finishing abilities, has been a standout performer for Rangpur Riders in this year’s BPL.
The early recall of these players underscored PCB's commitment to assembling a strong and well-prepared national squad for the Champions Trophy.
