The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approved filing of three new references against PML-N President and former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif, his son Hamza Shehbaz and former finance minister Miftah Ismael, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has approved the filing of the references against Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz for having assets beyond income. According to the NAB statement, Shehbaz Sharif and his family made assets through Benami accounts, claimed a corruption of Rs7238 million was committed.
A reference will also be filed against Salman Shehbaz Sharif in assets beyond means case.
The NAB has also approved filing of reference against Miftah Ismael. The NAB chairman also gave the approval to file a reference against PML-N senior leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and his son Abdullah Khaqan Abbasi.
The Bureau also gave green signal to filing a reference against Foreign Ministry officers. Pakistan's Ambassador to Indonesia Mustafa Anwar Hussain was accused of committing corruption in the sale of Pakistan's embassy building in Jakarta.
