Senior journalists and political analysts have stressed Prime Minister Imran Khan should maintain merit in selection of premier for AJK.
During 24NewsHD programme - DNA - noted figures Salim Bokhari, Iftikhar Ahmad, PJ Mir, and Javed Iqbal suggested the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should stick by merit while picking the AJK PM in larger interest of his party.
Saleem Bokhari said the PM called a meeting of key leaders to deliberate upon the future AJK premier and the names of Barrister Sultan Mehmood, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas and Chaudhry Anwarul Haq were under consideration.

He felt strong concerns for the country in wake of reports of money laundering allegations during distribution of PTI tickets at a time when Pakistan could not get its name removed from FAFT grey list.
Javed Iqbal revealed the name of Khawaja Farooq for the slot and claimed that the seats of president, prime minister, speaker and senior minister would be distributed to Barrister Sultan, Sardar Tanveer, Ch Anwar and Khawaja Farooq.
He added that the PTI tickets in Azad Kashmir elections were distributed by Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur and Senator Saifullah Khan Niazi and the election expenditure was paid by the ticket holders. PJ Mir said that Saifullah Khan Niazi denied any wrongdoing.
Iftikhar Ahmad said PM Imran Khan and the department concerned should wake up to the issue of allegation of unfair fund distribution. He called it a test case for Imran Khan.
