Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed his staff to adopt simplicity while preparing for Sunday night’s dinner he is hosting in honour of the leaders of the parties allied to PTI-led coalition government.

According to a private TV channel, as per the directives of the prime minister, the staff has readied a one-dish menu for the dinner. The guests will be served with qorma (chicken or mutton), mattar-pilao (peas mixed rice) and naans.

This menu was quite contrary to the one Prime Minister Imran Khan was served during his recent visit to Larkana, where he was served with 135 traditional and special dishes of Sindh.

During his visit to Larkana on June 17, Imran Khan was served with 135 traditional and special dishes of Sindh including Hiran Roast, Teetar Roast, Murghabi, Fish Roast, Mutton Roast, Dabra Fish Fry, Sajji, Rann Roast, Mutton Charga, Looki ka Halwa, Biryani, Zarda, Chicken and Mutton Pokara, Koftay, Bhay and other dishes.

On that occasion, the prime minister reached Larkana with 37 protocol vehicles.

But for the participants of the Sunday night’s dinner, the choice is not multiple.

Prime Minister Imran Khan invited coalition partners to the dinner at his official residence to address reservations of the allies with regard to the budget.

PML-Q, BNP-M and JWP, however, declined to attend the PM’s dinner. The BNP-M maintained that since the party was no longer a partner in the coalition there was no sense in attending the dinner.

The Prime Minister Office had invited BNP-P chief Akhtar Mengal and party leader Jahanzeb Jamaldini for the dinner.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), another coalition partner from the province, has decided to attend the dinner and extend support to the government for approval of the federal budget.

Federal ministers and PTI members will also attend the dinner.

It is to be mentioned here that Shaikh Rashid Ahmed, Federal Minister for Railways, would also be absent from the dinner due to his health.
