Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif decided Tuesday to withdraw the privileges and perks of a minister from his special assistants who are also the members of the Parliament, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A notification was issued in this regard after the approval of the prime minister.
According to the notification, the privileges of a federal minister were withdrawn from special assistant to the prime minister and Senator Hafiz Abdul Karim.
Moreover, the privileges of a state minister were withdrawn from special assistants to the prime minister including Junaid Anwar and Sheikh Fayyaz Ud Din.
Similarly, the privileges and perks of a state minister were withdrawn from special assistant to the prime minister Romina Khurshid Alam.
All of the four special assistants will now serve on an honorary basis, the notification said
The above-mentioned parliamentarians were appointed as special assistants on June 10 last.
The prime minister has not yet given any portfolios to them.
