The allied parties have assured Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of full support for the proposed legislation in the National Assembly.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, an important meeting of the coalition parties was held in the Prime Minister's Chamber under the chairmanship of PM Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday.
Well-placed sources in the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) said the current situation and issues related to the legislation were reviewed in the meeting.
The PM Shehbaz Sharif-led government sources said the allies of the ruling party assured the prime minister of full support for the proposed legislation.
Separately, PM Shehbaz Sharif also held a special meeting with National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and discussed the legislation's significant role in administrative affairs and the progress of the country.
During a meeting in the Parliament House, PM Shehbaz and Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf discussed the political situation and other issues of mutual interest.
According to the press release issued by the PM Office Media Wing on Tuesday, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Federal Commerce Minister Syed Naveed Qamar were also present in the meeting.
