A two-member girl gang was arrested from Shakargarh for dealing in fake currency and Rs.45 thousand counterfeit notes were also recovered from their possession, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to Shakargarh police, the arrested girls allegedly used fake currency to make purchases at different shops in Sahari and Isa Chowk.
Additionally, before going shopping, they used to make TikTok videos with fake notes and solicit prayers from followers.
One day, they paid with counterfeit currency at a sweets shop and the shopkeeper informed the police immediately.
On the complaint, Shah Gharib police swung into action and arrested the girls right away.
The police also recovered 45 fake currency notes of 1,000 denominations from their purse.
The accused women are residents of Afzalpura Shakargarh.
A case registered has been registered against them and further investigations are underway.
