Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (CRHC) Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad has indicated the likelihood of Eidul Fitr being celebrated on April 10 in Pakistan.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad highlighted the possibility of the completion of the holy month of Ramadan with 29 days this year on scientific grounds.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad stated that the age of the moon will be approximately 20 hours with an angle of 10 degrees on April 09 evening so the crescent of the month of Shawwal (Eidul Fitr) is likely to be sighted after sunset.
Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council's last year prediction
The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council had made a prediction of the date of April 21 (Saturday) regarding the sighting of the Shawwal moon in Pakistan last year.
Khalid Ijaz Mufti, Secretary General of Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council, said that the birth of the moon will take place on 29th Ramazad (Thursday, April 20, 2023) at 9:13 am in Pakistan.
But it could not be seen because the age of the moon at sunset, which should be more than 19 hours for sighting, will be less than 10 hours in all areas of Pakistan.
He added that Ramazan 30 will be celebrated on the 21st April and 1st Shawwal will be celebrated on the 22nd April.
The Pakistani nation celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday (April 22) as per the accurate scientific prediction.
