An Anti-Terrorism Court has accepted the bail application of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists Sanam Javed and Alia Hamza in the attack on Shadman Police Station Lahore during the May 9 riots case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Sanam Javed and Alia Hamza were ordered to submit a bond worth Rs200,000.
Shakeel Pasha Advocate appeared on behalf of Sanam Javed while Advocate Naseeruddin Nair presented arguments on behalf of Alia Hamza.
Anti-Terrorism Court duty judge Arshad Javed conducted the hearing.
However, the prosecution lawyer completed his arguments against bail saying women are part of the anti-state conspiracy on May 9.
The lawyer of the accused told the court that every time the women are arrested in another case after bail. The case in which the accused are now arrested has no role, said the lawyer.
According to court decisions, women should get bail soon, prayed the defence lawyer.
