Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee has recommended Babar Azam for the captaincy role, reported 24NewsHd TV channel Thursday.

This move came after Chairman Mohsin Naqvi delegated the decision-making process regarding the captaincy to the selection committee.

The committee, having completed its evaluation, has forwarded their suggestion to reinstate Babar Azam as captain to the PCB Chairman.

According to inside sources, PCB Chairman is expected to hold consultations with Babar Azam in the near future before making a final decision.

This potential appointment signals a vote of confidence in Azam's leadership abilities and marks a pivotal moment in the management of the national cricket team.
