Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade has once again found himself embroiled in legal controversy, this time linked to an alleged financial fraud involving The Loni Urban Multistate Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society Limited.

According to IANS, the accused, associated with the cooperative society, reportedly lured villagers with promises of doubling their investments in a short time. Agents allegedly collected substantial sums before shutting down operations and disappearing, leaving investors in distress. A case has been registered at Srinagar police station in Mahoba, and authorities have launched an investigation into the matter.

Despite the growing legal scrutiny, Talpade’s legal team has remained silent, and the Housefull 5 actor has yet to address the allegations publicly.

This isn’t the first time the actor’s name has surfaced in a financial fraud case. Earlier this year, both he and veteran actor Alok Nath were named in an FIR filed at Murthal police station in Haryana on January 22. The complaint, as reported by ThePrint, includes charges of cheating, criminal breach of trust, and fraudulent property transfer related to another cooperative society accused of duping investors.

Talpade is set to appear in Welcome to the Jungle, a star-studded comedy featuring Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and others. Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Firoz A. Nadiadwallah, the film was officially announced in 2023.

He will show up in Housefull 5, sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and a host of other Bollywood stars. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the highly anticipated comedy is slated for a theatrical release on June 6, 2025.
