2020 is the year that started with a lot of hopes and dreams but the outbreak of novel coronavirus upset the world.

Philanthropists turned up to cope with financial challenges emerging in wake of COVID-19 outbreak. Karachi plane crash on the last Friday of Ramazan, two days prior to Eidul Fitr, rubbed salt into wounds.

A few people, even from glamorous world of showbiz, opted for celebrating Eid. Sonya Hussyn, known for portraying socially distressed characters in dramas, was among the celebs who observed Eid with simplicity.

She showed solidarity with the bereaved people lighting candles and saying prayers instead of dressing up and throwing a lavish Eid party.

She posted her pictures with households holding a vigil and sending the messages of love and hope to the victim families.

She mentioned her colleague Zara Abid, one of the plane crash victims.

The actress lays stress on continue with hope and keeping on praying.
