Federal Minister for Interior Affairs Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi resolved a long-standing housing issue for Islamabad police martyrs' families after 43 years on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the Mobin Cottages project for the families of 64 Islamabad Police martyrs.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi's initiative will provide 5-marla houses for the martyrs' families at NPF Sego Farms at Chak Sego in Rawalpindi.
The federal minister distributed allotment letters for plots to the families of the 64 martyrs in the ground breaking ceremony of Mobin Cottages.
Mohsin Naqvi handed an allotment letter to an elderly woman personally and expressed his condolences to the police martyrs' families.
The Interior Minister emphasized that taking care of the families of martyrs is a responsibility and not a favour.
He stated, "This is not a favour to the families of martyrs; it is their right that we are fulfilling. This act cannot even repay a single drop of the martyrs' blood."
In the ceremony, IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi provided a briefing on the project. The letter distribution ceremony was also attended by the Managing Director of the National Police Foundation (NPF), the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), the Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi and the families of the police martyrs.
