Gohar Ejaz Foundation donates Rs1 billion worth of medicines to impoverished patients

The Gohar Ejaz Foundation, renowned for its philanthropic endeavors has once again fulfilled its promise by contributing significantly to the healthcare sector, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.  

Caretaker Federal Minister for Commerce and Industry Dr. Gohar Ejaz’s foundation donated a staggering one billion rupees to distribute a crore number of medicines free of charge to impoverished patients under the free medicines program at Jinnah Hospital in a year.

In collaboration with a globally recognized pharmaceutical company, Novartis, adhering to international standards, the initiative has provided free medications to patients battling a spectrum of illnesses, including hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol issues, asthma, and cancer.

According to recent data spanning from December 13, 2022, to November 25, 2023, the program has successfully reached and aided a staggering 22,426 patients afflicted with more than 30 different medical conditions.

According to senior citizens, this noble initiative not only showcases the foundation's dedication to societal well-being but also sets an exemplary standard for corporate social responsibility.

The Gohar Ejaz Foundation's "Miracle Gem" initiative serves as a beacon of hope, breaking barriers to healthcare access and illuminating the path towards a healthier and more equitable society, they added.
