The Airport Security Force (ASF) on Thursday arrested the man allegedly at the centre of the fake video scandal aimed at maligning Punjab Information Minister Azam Bokhari.
Accused Ali Hassan Toor, a resident of Gujranwala, was trying to flee abroad by flight number EK620 from the Sialkot International Airport.
ASF personnel arrested the suspect and then handed him over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further investigation.
Toor is accused of involvement in creation and distribution of a fake video, which was aimed at maligning Bokhari. His name had already been placed on the Exit Control List (ECL), preventing him from leaving the country.
