Many celebrities spoke in favour of former Pakistani cricketer and commentator Shoaib Akhtar following the dispute with Dr Nauman Niaz on Tuesday. The latest person who back Shoaib Akthar is none other than Junoon’s frontman, Salman Ahmad.
Though, he suggested Shoaib Akthar and Dr Nauman resolve the ongoing spat by facing off each other.
According to the details, when the fans were celebrating Pakistan's triumph over blackcaps of New Zealand in the T20 World Cup match, on a cricket review program that was held on Pakistan Sports Television (PTV), the host of the program Nauman Niaz insulted Shoaib Akhtar during the live broadcast, infront of household names like Sir Vivian Richards, David Gower, Sana Mir, Aaqib Javed, Azhar Mahmood and Umar Gul.
Salman Ahmed took to his Twitter account and wrote: “The best way for my friend & Junooni @shoaib100mph to settle his TV issue might be a single wkt face off with the Good doctor? 6 overs each facing the new ball in the nets? Let’s see whose cricketing knowledge is stronger, thoughts only”.
Earlier, many celebrities including Ali Zafar, Hamayun Saeed, Mawra Hocane, Waqar Zaka, Sikandar Bakht (sports journalists) among others came forward in support of Rawalpindi Express.
