The caretaker federal government has appointed Major Gen Kamran Ahmed as the Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Balochistan, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division Islamabad on Friday, after the approval of the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Ul Haq Kakar,
Maj Gen Kamran has been posted as IGFC Balochistan. His predecessor, Major General Kamal Ahmed Chaudhary, had been serving as the IGFC before this transition.
The Defense Ministry following the approval of the Prime Minister, submitted the necessary summary to the Cabinet, which paved the way for the appointment to move forward.
Major General Kamran Ahmed, who hails from the Armed Corps, has been appointed to the role on a secondment basis.
Special permission was also sought from the Election Commission of Pakistan for Major General Kamran Ahmed's appointment to this critical position.
