The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in 117 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) it carried out in different parts of Punjab in recent days, has arrested 10 militants, including five from Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Commander Qasim Afghani, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the CTD officials, the operations were carried out in Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur and Sargodha.
Giving further information, they said that explosives, three detonators, hand grenades, cellphones and cash were also recovered from their possession.
They informed that those who were arrested Agha Nauman, Ataur Rehman, Usama, Siddique, Shahnawaz, Sufyan, Safdar, Abdul Haq and Qasim Afghani.
The officials said those taken into custody were planning attacks on important installations.
They informed that 225 suspected individuals were also held in 359 combing operations carried out during the ongoing week.
