Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah inaugurated polio eradication drives on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz administered polio drops to a child at Services Hospital in Lahore to mark the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that provincial government will take all necessary measures to complete eradication of polio from our society.
Provincial Minister for Health, Khawaja Salman Rafiq, Minister for Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir were also present on the occasion.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also unveiled anti-polio drive in Sindh by vaccinated polio drops to a child.
On the occasion Murad Ali Shah that provincial government fully committed to complete eradication of polio.
He said that during the anti-polio drive around 80,000 frontline workers are taking part in the campaign.
It is pertinent to mention here that during current 12 cases of polio were reported from Sindh.
