Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expanded his cabinet by inducting Irfan Qadir as his special assistant into it, 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The Cabinet Division has issued a notification stating Irfan Qadir has been appointed as PM's special assistant.
Irfan Qadir will enjoy the status of a federal minister while he has not been given a portfolio.
The number of special assistants to the Prime Minister has increased to 28.
A total of 23 special assistants are without portfolios.
Javed Latif has also been a federal minister without any portfolio for months.
The Shehbaz cabinet has 34 federal ministers, seven state ministers and four advisers.
