The restructuring of constituencies in Sindh province has led to changes in the distribution of provincial and national assembly seats, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
As per details, the new changes have led to the addition of three provincial assembly seats and one national assembly seat in the Karachi division only.
On the contrary, other districts namely Khairpur, Sanghar, and Thatta, have lost one provincial assembly seat each due to the changes in constituency boundaries. Thatta, in particular, now retains only two provincial assembly seats.
Karachi South witnessed an increase of one provincial and one national assembly seat owing to changes.
The redistribution of seats has also led to the increase of one provincial assembly seat in Karachi Malir.
One National Assembly seat has been reduced in Shikarpur and now it has one alone seat of the National Assembly.
These adjustments to electoral boundaries are expected to have a significant impact on the political dynamics and representation in Sindh.
