Lt Gen Muhammad Ali appointed as Secretary Ministry of Defence

The federal government appointed Lt Gen Muhammad Ali as the Secretary of the Minister of Defence, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Friday. 


The appointment was made following approval from the Prime Minister, and the notification was released by the Establishment Division.


According to the notification, Lt Gen Muhammad Ali’s appointment will last for two years and three months, until his retirement. 


The notification said Lt Gen Muhammad Ali's tenure will begin on October 1, 2024, and continue until December 31, 2026. 


Lt Gen Muhammad Ali was recently serving as Quarter Master General (QMG), GHQ, Rawalpindi. He belongs to the 3 (SP) Medium Regiment Artillery. He joined the army with 78 PMA Long Court. Lt Gen Muhammad Ali has been awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz.
